Virtual Show: Summer Entries Open

Video classes in dressage, in-hand, liberty, and the popular metallic-coat photo division. Open to Akhal-Tekes and part-breds worldwide; members enter at a discounted rate.

Submit your videos through the show portal between July 6 and July 31. Results and judges’ comments are published in the September newsletter.

ATAA National Show & Breed Inspection

August 21, 2026 – August 23, 2026 · Devon Horse Show Grounds, Devon, PA

Three days of in-hand and under-saddle classes, free-jumping evaluation, and official breed inspection with international judges. Friday evening welcome reception for members.

The flagship event of the ATAA calendar. Entries close August 1; stabling is limited and allocated in order of receipt. Inspection slots for breeding stock must be reserved separately.

Annual General Meeting

September 12, 2026 · Online (Zoom)

Election of two board seats, the 2027 budget, and a proposed amendment to the registration rules for embryo-transfer foals. All current members may vote; proxy forms are in the members area.

The agenda packet and proxy voting forms will be posted to the members area two weeks before the meeting.

Endurance Conditioning Clinic with Tess Marlowe

October 10, 2026 – October 11, 2026 · Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington, KY

Two-day clinic on conditioning the hot-blooded endurance horse: heart-rate-based interval work, electrolyte protocols for desert breeds, and a guided 15-mile training ride.

Limited to twelve horse-and-rider pairs; auditors welcome. ATAA members receive priority placement and a $50 discount.

Breeders' Symposium: Genetics of a Rare Breed

November 14, 2026 · Embassy Suites, Denver, CO

A one-day symposium on managing genetic diversity in small populations, with sessions on the naked-foal syndrome carrier test, cross-registry cooperation, and frozen semen import logistics.

Speakers include researchers from UC Davis and the international studbook office. Recordings will be available to members afterward in the document library.
